WHAT IS LIKELY TO HAPPEN?

Stephen Joe Ciera - Sounds like a Mexican Baseball Pitcher!

Stephen Joe Ciera – Sounds like a Mexican Baseball Pitcher!

The preview has me leaning towards a ‘now or never’ over reaction by a number of cast aways. Primarily from those who can’t help themselves.

  • Joe will be on everyone’s minds. Keep him, ditch him, target him. Either way it will be the Joe hour.
  • Joe won’t win immunity this week, leading to a chaotic scramble moments before the tribal council
  • Stephen and Ciera will get intoxicated by their own ideas and completely lose sight of the most sensible game plan
  • Probst will refer to the fact their are an even split of sexes left… Someone will say it is a factor when it is not
Someone do something!

Someone do something!

  • Savage will once again play on emotion and fear, not a good mix
  • Kass will not be missed in the slightest

WHO GOES?

Let’s dissect the lay of the land first before coming up with who exits.

POWER RANKINGS – A sliding scale of ‘In the best position’ to ‘in danger’

  1. Jeremy – Give him the $1M cheque now
  2. Spencer – Credit where it is due, he is playing the cards he is dealt very well
Get comfortable you two

3. Tash – Dispatched of Kass in no time. Tough cookie

4. Abi – Safe as houses. Under the radar.

You aren't. I LOVE YOU ABI!

You aren’t. I LOVE YOU ABI!

5. Keith – Take a bow.

I got this

I got this

6. Wiglesworth – On the right side of the numbers and laying low

7. Kimmi – Similar to Wiggles, old school approach is working a treat

8. Savage – Calm down Savage! Target on back is getting bigger each week

9. Wentworth – Will climb the ladder but has to do it fast

10. Joe – Each week is a step closer to his ultimate demise

Joe back at Ponderosa

11. Fishbach – Neurotic passion for turning the game on it’s head will end in disaster

12. Ciera – No social game. No sensible game play. No chance.

Ciera and Fishy are in real strife. Don’t rock the old school boat!

THE SNUFFEE?

I am going with Fishbach. Savage did not trust him early on and his paranoia will escalate this week. Ciera makes a lot of noise but Fishbach is more of a threat.

Only Jeff can get away with this dialogue...

Only Jeff can get away with this dialogue…

The preview for this week is bad news for one contestant. Someone is going home overnight. Furthermore, another tribe swap is on the cards! So this episode is likely to be a mix of sorrow and excitement.

  • Kass is visibly upset in the preview, this means that a Ta Keo tribe member will be leaving our screens. Only thing that can stop the powerhouse is the health of a loved one back home.
  • Due to Kass’ tears and confessional that leaves Kelley Went, Terry, Joe, Keith and Ciera as possible exits.
  • From the press images releases (which I won’t show due to spoilers) it is going to be an emotional exit
  • The tribe swap will lead to Abi continuing to run the show, no matter what tribe she is on
  • By law of averages, two of the original three super group, Jeremy, Joe and Savage will reunite
  • The game will kick up a gear with players having to adapt game plays again!

WHO GOES?

With another tribe swap on the cards lets look at our remaining contestants from top to bottom!

POWER RANKINGS – A sliding scale of ‘In the best position’ to ‘in danger’

  1. Jeremy – Boston Strong… Cambodia Strong
  2. Spencer – Playing smart and in Jeremy’s pocket
  3. Kelley Went – Like Jeremy, on top in gameplay and with an idol in check
  4. Abi – Not going anywhere
  5. Tash – Going where the wind takes her
  6. Kimmi – Big moves win Survivor, has it in her
  7. Keith – Under the radar again
  8. Wiglesworth – Dodge a big bullet last week and may be forgotten now
  9. Savage – Has alliances on both sides
  10. Terry – Plugging along but will need to watch his back
  11. Joe – Every tribe swap leads him closer to getting the boot
  12. Ciera – Meh
  13. Woo – Hasn’t made alliances on any tribe he has been on and seen as a target
  14. Kass – Much easier to watch but can’t see people trusting her when it comes to a vote

WHAT IS LIKELY TO HAPPEN?

A very, very, very important episode! If Angkor lose it will be a shame, purely because we haven’t seen enough of the other tribes. If some players can scrape through the game will again turn on its head.

  • Angkor to finally get a win, smaller numbers will result in the other tribes having to sit players out. This works in their advantage.
  • Kass to again try something human
  • Spencer to play way too hard again but disguise this as ‘building relationships’
  • Someone on Angkor to look for an idol
  • Abi to self destruct… again
  • Ta Keo to win again and get a false sense of security. Never, ever get comfortable.
  • Jeff to salivate at speaking to a new group at tribal.

WHAT IS LIKELY TO HAPPEN?

One thing is for sure, the tribe swap will be fantastic news for some and terrible news for others. Other likely things we could see could include:

  • Bayon Rat Pack, Joe, Jeremy and Savage, could find their best laid plans destroyed by a shake up
The BAYON Rat Pack could be no more

The BAYON Rat Pack could be no more

  • Abi will annoy another bunch of new tribe members
  • Kass will get that ‘Chaos’ feeling back
  • Spencer’s fortunes will change (they can’t get any worse)
  • One tribe will be physically inferior to the other two
  • Could we see a white or yellow buff?
  • The group immunity challenge will be an edge of your seat nail biter or a whitewash!

WHO GOES?

Incredibly difficult to tell without knowing how the split happens. Depending on the make up of the tribe the weak or the strong could be targeted.

Gut feels about who could be in danger regardless of tribe split…

WHAT IS LIKELY TO HAPPEN?

Judging by the premier last week you would have to say that this will be the last episode before the tribes are split into three. Let’s face it, three tribes creates a better dynamic and 18 is much easier to split into three evenly than 19! This week is the perfect opportunity to get rid of a massive threat. Will the contestants take up this golden chance or let it slip by?

TE KEO vs BAYON IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Taking a step back and looking at what each tribe has to offer I am favouring BAYON to take out any challenge that comes their way. Why? They have a healthy mix of brawn (Joe, Jeremy, Savage, Keith) and brain (Kass, Tash, Fishy, Ciera) Fun fact… they have all won individual immunities in their previous seasons.

“I said Lime Ripple, not Rocky Road!” Photo: Monty Brinton/CBS ©2015 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Compared to TE KEO brawn (Woo, Terry, Spencer) and brain (Kelley, Shirin, Peih-Gee), in essence, TE KEO have more passengers.

Ahh yes, the old half made dragon fence. Photo: Timothy Kuratek/CBS ©2015 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

WHO GOES?

Out of the TE KEO tribe no one would be feeling 150% (Mike Holloway bless you!) comfortable. But I think it will boil down to three depending on what game plan people rock with!

Shirin

Too Fast, Too Furious.

Slow down Shirin! Moving way too fast and that will scare the ‘older’ brigade. Unfortunately for her, like last season, she doesn’t seem to fit anywhere. Also not working in her favour is that her tribe mates know she is a gamer.

Peih-Gee

She reminds me of an Asian friend I have who also has freckles. Photo: Monty Brinton/CBS ©2015 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Do not underestimate Abi throwing her under the bus again. Plus, it is a good time to remove a real threat, the longer Peih-Gee goes in the game the stronger she becomes.

Spencer

Orange you glad we're back? Photo: Monty Brinton/CBS ©2015 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Orange you glad we’re back? Photo: Monty Brinton/CBS ©2015 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

If they are truly playing the game they will remove Spencer now. Before the three tribe split, keeping the tribe strong will not matter next week, the time to act is now. Will he go? Probably not.

THE SNUFFEE?

Out of those three, I believe Shirin is on her way out. With Abi doing her best ‘take me to the end with you’ audition last week that leaves Shirin as the most annoying tribe member. They seem to go first.

IT’S BACK BABY! SURVIVOR: CAMBODIA – SECOND CHANCE

After a one-year hiatus the WORTH PLAYING FOR blog is back!

This time it's personal

In the spirit of second chances, let’s go back before going forward. After being spoilt by the amazing Season 28 Survivor Cagayan, the past two seasons have been lacking in both class and entertainment.

Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks

Season 29 Survivor: San Juan Claude Van Dam saw a lackluster crew of misfits bore viewers to tears before super Twin Nat went ballistic on all in her path. The highlights of the season were meeting Jeremy, cheering on Keith and watching Reed go full mogwai on evil step mom Missy.

“150% Jeff”

Season 30 Survivor: White Collar VS Blue Collar VS Red Collar VS Human Decency Collar was a rolling circus of poor taste, bullying and stupidity. Thankfully, Mr America Mike Holloway made it somewhat entertaining by going on a ridiculous immunity run and taking home the bacon. Highlights included Dan stuffing up the two-vote advantage, Shirin calling Will a dead fish and Rodney’s impersonations.

NEW IDEAS

Two new factors will cause havoc this year:

  • Idols will be hidden in reward/immunity challenges

“This is a real idol made by the production team…”

I am not sure how long this will last or if idols will eventually be dispersed amongst the flora and fauna of the island. Regardless, it will increase the drama and tension during challenges, and lets be honest, those pesky idols have been awfully easy to find of late.

Next…

  • Idols will look ambiguous
Stick Idol

Stick Idol

Eliza, Jason and Mr Stick hatch a plan…

Word is that the hidden idols will look they have either been made by the slick production crew or by a monkey on the island. I can’t help but feel that this will help a certain contestant and their jewelry making abilities… more on that later. This will surely make tribal all the more unpredictable and hilarious. Imagine pulling out a stick with a face drawn on it (Hi Eliza if you’re reading!) and being mocked by all, only for Jeffy boy to announce that it is in fact A REAL IDOL! Cue pan pipes and shocked faces.

Overall I like these ideas because they will bring something new game play wise and most importantly they are FAIR to all. The recent reintroduction of the Tyler Perry Idol, the one that can be played after the votes are cast and Dan’s bulls@%$ two-vote advantage are not in the spirit of the game.

BAYON

Savage

Still dreamy…

Last seen: 7 Pearl Islands

Torched snuffed at: 10th – Stupid Scout Master Lil!

Chance ranking? Half a Chance

Arguably the unluckiest player in Survivor History. The Outcasts stuff up will forever haunt Savage. Can see him being an early target, will have his work cut out for him.

Jeremy

Boston Strong

Boston Strong

Last seen: 29 San Juan Del Sur

Torched snuffed at: 10th – Too soon.

Chance ranking? Super Chance

Was hurtin’ big time after his boot. If Jeremy can lay low and avoid complacency he could go the whole way.

Joe Almighty

Hair

Hair

Last seen: 30 Worlds Apart

Torched snuffed at: 10th – Those fake idol making skills may come in handy this time!

Chance ranking? No Chance

Would be the greatest win in Survivor history if he can pull off 15 immunity challenge wins in a row. Sorry Joe, you’re just too damn good to stay alive for so long.

Keith

Wesssssssssssleeeeee’s Old Man

Torched snuffed at: 4th – How did that happen?

Chance ranking? Half a Chance

Keith… listen to this. Just team up with Jeremy and make amends for last time and the sky is the limit. Firemen R Us.

Fishbach

Here Fishy Fishy

Last seen: 18 Tocantins

Torched snuffed at: 2nd – If only he smiled like JT. Stiff.

Chance ranking? Super Chance

His biggest threat will be himself. Much loved contestant by past players and was incredibly stiff not to win his season. Lucky for us he didn’t so we can see him have another crack!

Ciera

Mrs Purple Rock

Mrs Purple Rock

Last seen: 27 Blood VS Water

Torched snuffed at: 5th – Go hard or go home.

Chance ranking? Half a Chance

Little Miss Flip Flop will have to stick to an alliance this time and run with it. Could be cannon fodder or could slip through the cracks. One thing in her favour is her preparedness to make the big moves.

Kass

Known as Chaos Kass... only to herself

Known as Chaos Kass… only to herself

Last seen: 28 Cagayan

Torched snuffed at: 3rd – Woo chose loyalty over evil

Chance ranking? No Chance

Will surely make the merge due to her being the greatest goat in Survivor history. Shudder.

Kimmi

Tasha

Last seen: 28 Cagayan

Torched snuffed at: 6th – Healthy mix of Brain and Brawn

Chance ranking? Super Chance

Not the warmest or nicest Survivor you will meet, however out of all the contestants she gives challenges a real shake and has a touch of the Sandra’s about her, “anyone but me Jeff!”

TE KEO

Jeff

The other Jeff

Last seen: 2 Australia

Torched snuffed at: 10th – Damn Peanut Butter!

Chance ranking? Half a Chance.

Big personality. A few things stand in his way. Peanut butter and himself.

Spencer

Standard army haircut pre-Survivor

Standard army haircut pre-Survivor

Last seen: 28 Cagayan

Torched snuffed at: 4th – Fought until the bitter end

Chance ranking? Half a Chance

I didn’t like Spencer in his season… until the weeks went by I began to admire his fight. Then he did his best Tom Cruise courtroom speech to talk up Tony and he won me over. Will have to make it to the merge under the radar to stand any chance. Tough job ahead.

Terry

TD! The original Challenge beast.

Last seen: 12 Panama

Torched snuffed at: 3rd – Bloody Aras

Chance ranking? No Chance

Love the Deitz! But, there is no way anyone will let him get near the end.

Vytas

Aras' creepy brother

Aras’ creepy brother

Last seen: 27 Blood VS Water

Torched snuffed at: 10th – His ‘skills’ with women evaporated.

Chance ranking? No Chance

Didn’t play the game last time, can’t see him doing it this time. How did this guy get voted back in? Staggering to think we could have had Shane Powers back, instead we got Vytas.

Woo

Loyalty. Honour. Respect. Dedication. Other important values…

Last seen: 28 Cagayan

Torched snuffed at: 2nd – Handed Tony $1 Million dollars… in fairness it was worth seeing Kass’ reaction

Chance ranking? Super Chance

Will be underestimated due to his cluelessness… other contestants do this at your own peril! Can win challenges, social and likeable. Go Woo!

Abi

Last seen: 25 Phillipines

Torched snuffed at: 5th – Hit Skupin in head with a coconut and drove the rest nuts!

Chance ranking? No Chance

Could be out day 1 or 39. One thing is for sure, she will be entertaining.

Kelly Wiglesworth

New face, same Kelly

New face, same Kelly

Last seen: 1 Borneo

Torched snuffed at: 2nd Lost to Hatch by on vote!

Chance ranking? Half a Chance

Will Wiglesworth slip under the radar? Can she use her knowledge of watching every season since to plot her fellow competitors demise? Has the game past her by? Too many questions, don’t like her chances.

Kelley W

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!

Last seen: 29 San Juan Del Sur

Torched snuffed at: 14th – Tip, don’t bring Dad with you next time.

Chance ranking? Super Chance

Didn’t go very far in her season due to her annoying father. This time around, the positives are that she is pleasant, competitive and not as polarizing as other contestants. One to watch.

Shirin

Monkey love making watcher

Last seen: 30 Worlds Apart

Torched snuffed at: 8th – Did better than Joe… go figure

She will go way too hard early and fizzle out before the merge.

Torched snuffed at: 5th – Stif to not make the Final 3.

Chance ranking? Half a Chance

First time around Parental Guidance did not click socially and was subsequently bullied by Adam Scott look alike Todd’s posse. She hang in their and did her thing, with a bit of luck it could be her turn this time.

It’s time…

Drop it like its hawt

Drop it like its hawt

Drop those buffs!

The link above isn’t very informative, CBS have released another sneak peak this week, however I am avoiding it so it doesn’t ruin the merge surprise.

A big episode ahead, in my opinion, the minorities will see themselves in the drivers seats and the kingpins may find themselves on the ropes.
